The Gateway

The Gateway is your one-stop shop for all your enquiries. No matter what your question is, we’ll be able to help resolve your issue or at least advise on what you need to do next.

Our Gateway Team also work alongside our International Student Support Team, who are here to help and advise on any of your visa or immigration matters.

Library & Study Skills

The University Library provides a wide range of digital and print resources to support your studies and research. You can also access the skills and expertise of our team of Academic Liaison Librarians, Study Skills Advisers and a Research Buddy.

Careers & Employability

Our Careers and Employability Team deliver a range of opportunities and guidance to further your career development and success.

Hardship Fund

If you are struggling with your finances you may be eligible to apply for some University Hardship Funding depending on your personal circumstances. Speak to our Student Financial Advice Team for further information.


As a part of our Wellbeing team our multi-faith chaplaincy offers spiritual support and guidance across a range of faiths and traditions. More information on our Chaplaincy service can be found on their website.

University Sport

The University has a thriving sports scene for competition, leisure, fitness, relaxation and wellbeing. Whether you want to play competitively through BUCS, recreationally or even if you just want to be around like minded people through our Societies, our Institute of Sport will be able to cater for your needs.

Sports Clubs

CitySpace is the University’s iconic facility for sports and social activity on the University’s City Campus. Here you'll be able to socialise with friends, join our recently refurbished gym suite, compete with our sports teams or play recreationally on our multiple sport courts. Sport Career Academy

To support those who are interested in a career in sport, or who simply wish to add additional skills and experience to their degree and CV, we operate one of the largest student employability schemes in the UK called the Sport Career Academy.
