Our Student Wellbeing Team are a team of Health Professionals including counsellors, mental health advisor, including a registered mental health nurse and qualified psychological wellbeing practitioner and general nurses.
We recognise that starting University can be a daunting, sometimes overwhelming experience and we are here to support you so that you can make the best of your studies and enjoy your student experience.
Triage appointments - This is so we can learn how best to support your individual needs.
Online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - We're able to provide access to Silvercloud, which is a great online resource which is proven to help reduce rates for depression, anxiety and stress.
Counselling - This comes from our trained counsellors which includes cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focused and person centred approaches.
Mental Health Advisers - We have advisers who are here to support students with any mental health difficulties.
Wellbeing Advisers - We who can support you with physical health issues.
Free Condoms - We're able to provide free condoms for under 24's as part of the C-Card Scheme.
Drop-in service - Our Drop In Service allows you to access our services as and when you require them without the need for booking an appointment.
Chaplaincy support - Our Chaplain is here to support students in their faith and spiritual beliefs.
Referrals and signposting - If we can't provide the support, or think specialist support is best for you we can referr and signpost you to outside agencies including NHS and local charities, groups and self-help workshops or materials.
