I have tested positive for Covid19, what should I do?

Home / Student Information / Covid19 Guidance / Current Student FAQs / Managing Covid19 / I have tested positive for Covid19

If you have tested positive for Covid19, it’s important that you follow health professionals’ guidelines including any specific guidance on self-isolation/quarantine.

You should not attend campus for any reason.

You will need to report your positive test on our online form at https://go.sunderland.ac.uk/reportcovid

You will then need to report your absence through the TDS Student Portal for any on campus or online sessions you miss.

Following a positive test result, you will receive a request by text, email or phone to log into the NHS Test and Trace service website and provide information about recent close contacts.

If you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home, or your condition gets worse, then use the NHS 111 online Covid19 service. If you do not have internet access, call NHS 111. For a medical emergency dial 999.
