Are you Visa ready?

Once you have received your Confirmation of Studies letter (CAS) from Student Administration, you will be ready to apply for your Student Route Visa.

Apply for your visa within plenty of time

Summer is the busiest time of year for the Home Office so apply as far in advance as you can.

If you are applying for a Student Route Visa then you will need a Certificate of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). This will be assigned by our Student Administration team once you have met the criteria. You can apply for your Student Route Visa up to six months before your course start date.

Please note that due to the current impact of Covid-19, you will need to check that your closest visa centre is open before you make your Student Route Visa application. If this is closed, you may need to travel further afield.

If you’re in a hurry – go priority

If you are on a tight timescale you may need to use a priority service.

This will place your application at the front of the queue however you will be required to pay a higher fee than if you were to use the standard service.

Booking your travel

We advise that you do not confirm any travel arrangements until you have received your visa. Once you have received your visa you will then be able to book your flights. Don’t forget to book onto our Airport Arrival Service.
