What do the Samaritans offer?

The Samaritans are able to talk at any time that is convenient to you. Whether you want to email, call, or even write a letter, you will have someone to talk to about any problems you may be having. 

Whether you have a small issue or a huge concern, the Samaritans offer a confidential service that offers advice on issues such as:

  • Relationship and family problems
  • Loss, including loss of a friend or family member through bereavement
  • Financial issues
  • Job-related stress
  • College or study-related stress
  • Loneliness and isolation
  • Depression
  • Painful and / or disabling physical illness
  • Heavy use or dependency on alcohol or other drugs
  • Thoughts of suicide
