Bullying and harassment

This is any unwanted behaviour that makes someone feel intimidated, degraded, humiliated or offended. It is not necessarily always obvious or apparent to others. Bullying or harassment can be between two individuals or it may involve groups of people. It might be obvious or it might be insidious. It may be persistent or an isolated incident. It can also occur in written communications, by phone or through email, not just face-to-face. For more information, visit the ACAS website.

If you ever experience or witness bullying or harrassment the University’s support services are here for you and will always listen seriously and impartially to your concerns. We can offer you guidance on further support and options so you can progress your report including both via the Police and/or the University.

Report a concern or an incident

Telling someone about your concerns can be a first step to getting the right information and support. We will support you even if you don’t want to progress any concern formally either with the University or the Police. If you wish to remain anonymous you can do so using the online reporting tool.
