Prayer Facilities

The University has been developing new and improved spaces for our students and staff. These improvements include:

On City Campus, we have excellent prayer facilities for our Muslim students located on the ground floor of Helen McArdle House (Formerly Shackleton House). At St Peter’s Campus, we have our main Interfaith Chaplaincy Centre (ICC), with provision and resources for all faiths. The ICC has:

• The 'Hilde Chapel' for Christians of all denominations
• Male and Female Muslim prayer facilities
• Inclusive prayer space for other faith communities
• A quiet room
• Common room with chess / games facilities
• Theology library
• meeting room for clubs and societies
• A small kitchen with microwave and kettle.
• LGBTQ resource room for staff and students
