Events

The University and Students' Union hold many events for you to get involved with.

University events can sometimes be more academically orientated, for instance our brilliant public lecture series, but this is not always the case. There are many ways for you to keep up to date regarding the University’s event calendar. You can access this via the UoS app, view it at the bottom of My Sunderland, follow the University’s social media accounts or by visiting the calendar directly on the University’s website.

The University also has a whole host of events on their website, just follow this link.

Your Students' Union events are focused more around developing friendships and new experiences. You can keep up to date on the SU’s events via their What’s on webpage and their social media channels. There are also a wide range of societies that you can become involved with.

Wellbeing also host a range of different activities and workshops for students, from overcoming stress and anxiety to developing your confidence we have a diverse range of workshops available. Check out what's on here.

Every Tuesday at 7pm-8pm our Chaplain Chris Howson hosts the Global Friendship Evening! This is a social event for all students at UOS to meet and get to know each other.
