Sport at the University of Sunderland has always been important, as it is to the City and to the North East of England.
In 2018, whilst maintaining the use of the University Sport Sunderland brand, the sport delivery and support service became Team Sunderland, who now oversee the management of Clubs, Elite and Performance sport, Community and Outreach, Participation, and other projects. Team Sunderland sits within the Student Journey Service.
These are exciting times for sport at the University of Sunderland, with first class fitness facilities in CitySpace; new partnerships being established and our sport and activities programme continuing to grow.
