What photo can I use?

Home / Student Information / Welcome Hub / Campus Cards / Campus Card FAQs / Photograph requirements

It is very important that the photograph you upload shows only you and no other person. Your photograph should show clearly your head and shoulders with you facing the camera and nothing obscuring your face. Think of the type of photograph you upload for your passport, that's what we're after.

Do Don't
Show only your full head and shoulders. Upload a full-length photo.
Show only you. Upload a photo of yourself within a group.
Have your face facing the camera. Upload photographs that are side shots or have you looking away from the camera.
Have anything obscuring your face, such as filters, hats or watermarks.

Once your photo is submitted it will either confirm you have uploaded a photo or say why your photo has not uploaded.

Reasons your photo may not be uploading:

  • The file is too large – (try saving it as a JPG)
  • The photo is the wrong file format (it needs to be a PNG or JPEG, JPG)
  • If you upload your photo from a phone, it may not accept the file type or image size.
