For commuters who drive to the University, we have ample parking across both our campuses in Sunderland.

Here we will tell you all you need to know about registering your car and our parking facilities which are supported by Just Park.

Registration & Management

The first step to using our car parks is registering your vehicle via the Parking Gateway.

Once you have registered your vehicle it's best to download the Just Park mobile app which is available via Google Play or iTunes, if you have a smartphone.

When you arrive on campus, you can then follow the directions on car parking signs for the code to input into the Just Park app. These codes are transferable between each campus and are displayed on signs around the car parks:

University Accommodation

If you’re living in University accommodation, you must register your vehicle. This entitles you to free parking at your contracted accommodation site.

Students whose vehicles are registered at the accommodation are not permitted to park on teaching campuses between 8am – 5pm on weekdays and are encouraged to use the University’s free campus bus and Connect service.
