Welcome Weekend

Home / Student Information / Welcome Hub / Welcome Hub News / Welcome Weekend

There’s not long to go before you experience life as a University of Sunderland student. To help you settle in, we’ll be around throughout welcome weekend at locations across campus and in the city.

Welcome Weekend, 14 and 15 September 2024

Whether you’re arriving over the weekend or you’re already here, come and say hello. Between 10am – 3pm, we’ll have:

  • Helpful staff at our City Campus Gateway (our one stop shop for all student enquiries) ready to answer your questions
  • Technical Services to help with IT issues
  • International Student Support at CitySpace to provide a reassuring welcome to the UK

In addition, between 10am – 3pm we will also have student ambassadors and Your SU Crew at transport locations in the city.

If you’re unsure of how to get here, visit our digital welcome hub’s travel section. We’ve got information on different methods of transport, and video guides to help with navigating your way to campus.

If you’re moving into University of Sunderland accommodation, there will be lots of help available. Look out for our Residential Assistants (wearing purple jumpers).

CitySpace, the University’s main facility for sports and social activity, is open over the weekend. If you would like more information on getting involved in sport, fitness and physical activity while you study, the team will be happy to help – including how to get a week’s free trial at the gym, so pop in and say hello!
