Knowing that returning to study can be a daunting time we want to make sure you have all the support you need to engage with your studies and succeed.

Student Success and Transition

For Sunderland on campus students when you take a break in your studies the Student Success and Transition team will be there to support you throughout your time away from the University.

We will:

Make initial contact with you when you first go on your leave of absence. We will make sure you have access to information, guidance and our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
Contact you when you are mid-way through your break to offer support and a friendly face.
Contact you at least 6 weeks before you are expected back on campus. We will help you to complete the Return to Study form and signpost and refer you to services that will make your transition back to University life easier.

Wellbeing

If you have a case open to the Student Support Services Wellbeing team then an adviser will contact you instead of the Student Success and Transition team. Don't worry you can still contact the wellbeing team and other support services at anytime while on break in studies if you need support.
