The City of Sunderland has a long-standing passion for basketball. Featuring as one of the University’s main pathway sports, the basketball provision at Sunderland is one of the most extensive in the UK and provides opportunities for beginner, casual, club and performance players.
We currently have two men’s and one women’s team competing in the BUCS leagues as well as both Varsity competitions. We also have a men's and women's team in the National League.
The University club provides multiple training sessions each week, high level coaching and additional opportunities for those interested in coaching, officiating and media.
