City Campus
City Campus is at the centre of our modern city, and is home to our a variety of administration and support services, library, lecture halls, and our excellent sport facilities at CitySpace.
It is also the centre for the University’s Arts and Design courses and home to our main Sciences provision, housing our world-famous Pharmacy School, our Living Labs, School of Nursing and the newly-established School of Medicine.
Buildings
City Campus is packed full of vibrant spaces and facilities for you to enjoy and take full advantage of. Here we give a quick summary of the buildings and what you'll find inside.

| CitySpace | CitySpace is the home of the university's state of the art gym and leisure facilities, YourSU as well as The Studio Cafe. |
| Gateway | The Gateway Building in made up of 3 floors, the ground floor is home to Gateway Enquiries, Centre for Graduate Prospects, International Student Support Drop Ins and the Gateway Cafe. The first floor is staff offices with the second floor being teaching rooms and our lapsafe laptop loans |
| Edinburgh | Edinburgh Building houses a variety of teams that can help support you, from Your SU, Team Sunderland and Student Support Services. We also have teaching rooms located here. |
| Murray Health | Murray Health is home for the our School of Medicine and School of Psychology. You will also find the Murray Lecture Theatre and our amazingly equipped Library. |
| John Dawson Science Complex | The John Dawson Science Complex is made up of 4 buildings; Dale, Darwin, Pasteur and Fleming. You'll find a variety of teaching spaces, including Library@Pasteur and staff offices for courses within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing |
| St Marys | St Marys is home to the University Nursey as well as our Estates and Facilities Helpdesk |
| Priestman | Priestman Building is the main base for Fine Art and Design on City Campus, which is a five-minute walk from Sunderland city centre. |
| Technology Park | Tech Park for short houses 4 buildings. Unit 1 houses classrooms and facilities for health-based courses. Unit 2 is home of our central postal facilities and Unit 3 is commonly used for our International Document Checking. |
| Hope Street Xchange | Hope Street Xchange is our dedicated Centre for Enterprise & Innovation. A vibrant hub of innovative and creative entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs, it offers state-of-the-art office spaces |
| Helen McArdle House | Outside this building, you'll find our bespoke training ambulance which contains the latest high-fidelity simulation infrastructure. Inside you'll find specialist mock-up wards and classrooms supporting our Nursing and Health based courses. |

Study Spaces
We have an array of dedicated study spaces across City Campus. These spaces are open to all students and provide a space to study and browse collections where applicable.
We have a variety of different learning spaces for you to choose from, whether it's throughout the learning space itself, dedicated study rooms or our innovative study booths. You will also have the option to use your own device or one of our computers.
