Get enrolled
Enrolment is the key to you starting your course. You are required to enrol online before you arrive and start your studies with us. You can enrol online via myApplication on e:Vision. If you're an international student, we may request you to come into our international document collection area to complete your enrolment - if this is the case, we'll email you to let you know!

Parking facilities
For commuters who drive to the University, we have ample parking across both our campuses in Sunderland. The first step to using our car parks is registering your vehicle via the Parking Gateway.

Once you have registered your vehicle it's best to download the Just Park mobile app which is available via Google Play or iTunes, if you have a smartphone.

When you arrive on campus, you can then follow the directions on car parking signs for the code to input into the Just Park app. These codes are transferable between each campus and are displayed on signs around the car parks:

City Campus - 807486
Sir Tom Cowie Campus - 807488

If you park without being registered, or without paying - you will receive a fine.

Your campus card
Your campus card is your university identification card – you need it to borrow books from the library, register your attendance and access buildings and facilities. It is also proof that you are a student and can be used for free travel between Sunderland campuses on our Connect bus and Students' Union minibus services.

To get your campus you will need to:

  • Complete your enrolment
  • Ensure your term-time address is up to date
  • Upload a suitable photograph

Once you have done all of the above, we'll produce your card and automatically post this to your term-time address, which commonly takes around 5 working days from the moment you upload your photograph to it arriving on your doorstep.

Got a question?
Our Gateway team, the one-stop shop for all student enquiries, are available all year round, online and in person on both Sunderland campuses (City and St Peter’s) between 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Once you have enrolled you will be able to access Compass, the University’s enquiry platform. Compass is an easy way to find information, ask questions and receive updates. Download the app by searching 'Compass UoS' in your app store.
