My course is running PASS but is my attendance to sessions monitored?

Home / Student Information / Your Studies / PASS (Peer Assisted Study Support) / Peer Assisted Study Support FAQ / Is PASS attendance monitored?

If you have a PASS session scheduled, it is encouraged that you attend all sessions if you are able. Attendance to PASS is monitored by your PASS Leaders and PASS Supervisor Team for evaluation purposes, but it does not go towards any professional standards for your course and you will not be disciplined for failure to attend PASS sessions. However, we would still encourage you to let your PASS Leader know if you cannot attend. You will be asked to swipe into PASS sessions so we can accurately monitor attendance for our records. This information will not be shared with academic staff.

PASS is open to all students, regardless if you are struggling with a topic or the course content, or flying through the materials, a PASS session offers opportunity for learning to everyone. Therefore even if you feel confident with what you are studying in lectures and seminars, attending PASS can help solidify your understanding, expand on your ideas, or broaden your mind to alternative ways of thinking.
