Wellbeing > Need help now > In a ‘Mental Health’ Crisis
In a Mental Health Crisis, you can contact your local NHS Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Service. They are open 24/7 and are there for people over the age of 16 experiencing a mental health crisis. A mental health crisis is any situation in which a person's behavior puts them at risk of hurting themselves or others and/or prevents them from being able to care for themselves or function.
If you are living internationally (outside of the UK or not locally) please go here to view a list of global crisis lines.
If you are under the care of a mental health team and have a specific care plan that states who to contact when you need urgent care, you should follow this plan.
