What we do

The Progression Team work with all Sunderland campus undergraduate students with the specific aims of

  • Ensuring student access to existing University services and provide pastoral support.
  • Reaching out to students who may be at risk of withdrawal and offer tailored advice and guidance.
  • Guide students through University processes and direct them towards independent advice where necessary.
  • Improve student experience by providing tailored advice and support and ensuring a positive outcome where possible.

There are three ways we work to achieve this.

Support
We can offer advice about a whole range of issues and can help put you in touch with the correct services to solve your problems.

Guide
We can guide you through transfer forms, submitting extenuating circumstances and figuring out your options.

Develop
We can discuss how you want to develop here at University of Sunderland and refer you to the correct places and people such as our study skills or career teams.
