How we support students

What we do

Support can look different based on the individual needs and interests of the student.  Student Success Advisers work one-to-one with students to help them address any concerns or barriers to their journey, including but not limited to:

• Navigating social, personal, and professional transitions
• Referring to university resources that promote their short- and long-term success
• Finding community and establishing systems that best support their individual needs and identities
• Developing study skills and strategies
• Creating an encouraging environment to reach their educational goals.

Through collaboration, we enhance our understanding of the diverse challenges students face and work together to create a seamless support network.

In collaboration with our wider colleagues, we:

• Foster a network of support to ensure at-risk students receive the engagement and resources they need.
• Share best practices and insights to enhance our collective understanding of student needs and experiences.
• Develop and promote tools and resources that facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams.
• Utilize data and evidence to inform strategies and initiatives that improve student outcomes.
• Encourage a culture of co-creation with students, amplifying their voices in shaping the support we provide.
