Return to Study

If you have taken a Leave of Absence, you will be asked to submit a Return to Study form just before you're due back.

This is so we can ensure we have everything ready for your return so you can have a smooth transition back into your programme.

How to obtain a Return to Study form

As part of the Leave of Absence process you will confirm with your Programme Leader a suitable return date.

Prior to this agreed date your Programme Support team will be in touch with further guidance and support about returning to your studies. Your Programme Support team will email over a Return to Study form which is essentially your declaration of your intent to return to the University. This is to ensure that we can get you back up and running without any complications.

You can also obtain a form from the Gateway Enquiries team.

What happens next?

Once the form has been completed and signed off by your Programme Leader, you will need to submit it to Programme Support through Compass. If you already have an open Compass enquiry please add a note to this enquiry and attach your completed form. If you haven't you can always hit reply to the email from your Programme Support team and attach your completed form.

As soon as your form has been processed, you will be emailed asking you to re-enrol. This will then officiate your return to your studies and will get the ball rolling with providing you access to your Academic Timetable and other learning materials.

You will also be able to find a whole host of information about returning to your studies including the re-enrol process through our handy Returners pages.
