Transferring Programme

Sometimes, students may want to transfer to a different programme of studies. Our Transfer process allows you to be able to transfer from one programme to another internally without having to make a new application.

How to get your form

You can obtain a Transfer Form direct from My Sunderland. You will also be able to access the Transfer Policy which will show the regulations around transferring programme. There's also handy transfer FAQs that you can reference as well.and process documents

Submitting your Form

Once your form is completed and has signatures from both the Programme Leader of your current course and the course you are looking to transfer to you can submit your completed form via Compass.

If you already have a compass enquiry, simply add a note to your enquiry and attach your completed form.

International Students - as part of the transfer process once you submit your form we will ensure our International Student Support team see the form so that they can offer any guidance and advice on the implications the transfer may have on your immigration status. Please keep an eye on your Compass enquiry for information.

What happens next?

As soon as we receive your completed form, we'll ensure that this is processed by the Faculty Programme Support team. The Programme Support team will make all the necessary changes to your record so you can get access to your new programme spaces on Canvas and they will also will keep our timetable team in the loop so your Academic Timetable can be changed.
