Module Change

In some cases, you may find that the module you are on isn't right for you, our module change process provides you the option to change a module as long as your programme regulations allow it.

Module Change Process

You may change your mind about the module you want to study, if this is the case you do have an opportunity during the first three weeks of study to request a change to your optional module choices. Changes requested after this time would only be allowed in exceptional circumstances as this is not considered to be in the students’ academic interest.

You can obtain a Module Change form Form direct from My Sunderland.

You will also be able to access handy FAQs on module change requests and be provided with information on how you can simply just switch your class or make changes to your timetable as it may be that you can study the module on different days so may not need to change at all.

MODULE CHANGE FORM

Submitting your Form

Once you have your form completed you can submit this via Compass.

If you already have a Compass enquiry, simply add a note to your enquiry and attach your completed form.

What happens next?

As soon as we receive your completed form, we'll ensure that this is processed by the Faculty Programme Support team. The Programme Support team will make all the necessary changes to your record so you can get access to your new module spaces on Canvas and they will also will keep our timetable team in the loop so your Academic Timetable can be changed.
