Module Choice

Some programmes will come with optional modules for you to choose from, allowing you to be able to select the modules you will study as part of your overall programme.

What are Module Choices

Each programme of study is made up of a number of credits that you must obtain each year to academically progress. You obtain credits by studying modules which are self-contained subjects of study. Modules vary in the amount of credits they are so you may study more modules than other courses, however these would amount to the same amount of credits.

Programmes can come with both core and optional modules. Core modules are compulsory for all students on the programme. Optional modules are chosen by the student.

Some programmes may only be made up of core modules, therefore you may not be required to select module choices.

How do I choose my optional modules?

If your programme has optional modules you will be advised to select modules before your programme starts. You will be asked to select your modules via your e:Vision account.

Although guidance is provided to you for what modules you can study and how these are delivered, you may wish to liaise with your Programme Leader for any further guidance.
