Students in a lecture theatre

Module Leader

Every programme at the University is made up of modules, and every module has a Module Leader. Module Leaders are responsible for the delivery of individual modules and will actively teach the module through the semesters that the module runs.

Module Leaders are here to support students studying the module by delivering the module, creating engaging canvas spaces, and engaging with students to assist with learning and teaching objectives.

Finding your Module Leader

Compass
Compass is not only your enquiry portal but also shows helpful information on your programme including who your module leaders are. Once logged into www.sunderland.ac.uk/compass simply navigate to My Profile at the top of the page and then to the sub-tab of Program

Module Catalogue
The Module Catalogue is an online resource accessible via e:Vision. On your e:Vision homepage you will see the Module Catalogue option. Here you can search by module code, title or faculty. Once you have your search results you can then navigate to the module page where you will find all the details on the module that includes learning hours, outcomes, knowledge and skills.

Here you will also see the Module Leader.

Canvas
Within Canvas you will have access to spaces that include your programme and module spaces. Within the module spaces, you will be able to see the people within the module and it is clearly indicated here who the Module Leader is.

You can also find out more about academic staff by searching through our staff profiles HERE.

Contacting your Module Leader

The best and quickest way to contact your Module Leader is during your timetabled sessions that they are delivering. Alternatively, you will be able to email them to the email addresses provided to you via the Module Catalogue

You may also choose to contact them via Canvas.
