Get in Touch

International Student Support can provide advice and guidance across a range of issues. We support you with understanding your immigration status, and any welfare related queries you have whilst you are studying in the UK. 

You can come onto campus to speak to us in-person at a drop-in session or appointment, or get in touch online via Compass, our enquiry management system.

Compass

Compass is the enquiry system we use at the University of Sunderland. It is easy to use and you can contact many different teams throughout the institution, as well as allowing enquiries to quickly directed to the relevant department to ensure you get an answer as quickly as possible.

Simply open a ticket to submit your question or concern, and we will reply via Compass. All communications related to the enquiry will be kept within the ticket. This will make it easier to understand the advice provided, as it is all captured in the same place, including any supporting documentation.

Drop-In Sessions and Appointments

If you have a visa and immigration enquiry, you can visit an immigration adviser for a drop-in appointment on:

  • Monday; 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm; Prospect Building at St Peter's Campus
  • Wednesday; 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm; Gateway Building, City Campus
  • Friday; 10am - 12pm; Prospect Building at St Peter's Campus

If you have a welfare query you would like to discuss in person please visit our welfare adviser for a drop-in appointment on:

  • Monday 10-12 pm and 2-4pm; Prospect Building, St. Peter's Campus
  • Wednesday 10-12pm and  2-4pm; Gateway Building, City Campus
  • Friday 10-12pm; Gateway Building, City Campus

You do not have to book a drop-in appointment, just arrive between the times stated above and one of our team will be happy to help.
