International Student Support can provide advice and guidance across a range of issues. We support you with understanding your immigration status, and any welfare related queries you have whilst you are studying in the UK.
You can come onto campus to speak to us in-person at a drop-in session or appointment, or get in touch online via Compass, our enquiry management system.
Compass is the enquiry system we use at the University of Sunderland. It is easy to use and you can contact many different teams throughout the institution, as well as allowing enquiries to quickly directed to the relevant department to ensure you get an answer as quickly as possible.
Simply open a ticket to submit your question or concern, and we will reply via Compass. All communications related to the enquiry will be kept within the ticket. This will make it easier to understand the advice provided, as it is all captured in the same place, including any supporting documentation.

You do not have to book a drop-in appointment. Welfare appointments will be available on a Friday afternoon. For appointments you can visit The Gateway and they will book it for you. It will depend on the issue you wish to discuss.
International Student Support Immigration Adviser standard appointments are also available online, you can book these via your Compass app.
