Meet the Advisers

Our International Student Support (ISS) Team is here to help you throughout your studies with any immigration queries you may have. If you require a Student Route Visa extension or if you are switching to a Start-up visa, it is International Student Support who will assist you with this process.

If you have a question that you would like to ask regarding your immigration status, International Student Support can provide confidential advice whether that is through a one to one appointment or via the university Compass system.

Our International Student Support Team will keep you up to date with the latest changes to the Student Route Visa and Start-up visa Policy Guidance and inform you if these changes have an impact on your current immigration status in the UK.

What we do

Both International Student Advisers are trained by the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) and are regulated by the Office of Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC)

The advice and guidance service that International Student Support provide is free of charge. Any additional costs will be paid by the student.

Please read the International Student Support CAS Policy and Service Agreement for information on the various services we offer to our students.  Please also take a look at the University of Sunderland's International Agreement.
